Matt Peno is a 2012 1B/RHP with a 6-7 260 lb. frame from Vidor, TX who attends Vidor HS. XXL build, looks like a D-I defensive end candidate, well proportioned. Wide stance, long line drive swing, good barrel, consistent LD contact, squares up, looks to pull, good hitting skills, doesn't show raw power associated with size but sound hitting skills. Big target at 1B, has arm strength. Also pitched, FB to 80 mph, full windup, tends to drift, can throw harder with mechanical adjustments. Good student.
