Gant Davis is a 2012 C/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Flowery Branch HS. Lean athletic build with present strength. Good raw arm strength, receives the ball cleanly, improved footwork should improve pop times, has the athletic tools to improve with adjustments. Open stance hitting, busy hands and load, pull approach, tends to cut off his swing out front looking to pull, has strength in his swing and will develop when learning to use the entire field. 7.18 runner. Also pitched, compact arm action, slow paced wind up, high 3/4's arm slot. Mid 70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, have seen up to 86 mph this summer, good running action on change up, soft curveball with some 2 plane shape. Good student.
