Josh Herlands is a 2015 2B/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Glastonbury, CT who attends Glastonbury. Large frame with long limbs. Ran a 7.49 60 yard dash. Shows a short arm action in the infield, making throws from a low three quarter arm slot. Arm strength is still developing, but throws are accurate and carry. Charges the ball nicely. Right handed pitcher throws from an over the top arm slot and has a quick arm. Fastball topped at 73 mph, working it low in the zone. Good feel for both off speed pitches, a slider with 10/4 break and tilt and a curveball at 62 mph with 11/5 break and depth. Bats from the right side using a toe tap trigger. Gets good extension on swing with good bat speed and balance throughout swing. Short path to ball with smooth swing, which has some lift to it. Excellent student.
