Diaz is a 5-10, 200 lb left handed hitting first baseman from Miami with good strength. He has a balanced approach at the plate with a short path to the ball and an inside out swing path that produced consistent hard contact to the opposite field. Diaz even showed some opposite field power. He had a good eye at the plate and was comfortable taking pitches and working a count. Diaz had good actions at first base but will need to work on his overall quickness and speed to take his game to the next level. His bat will get him some looks, though.
