Garrett Williams is a 2013 LHP/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Shreveport, LA who attends Calvary Baptist HS. Very athletic build, present strength but still projectable. Quick tempo leg tuck delivery, on line and balanced, compact quick arm action, whippy out front, repeats mechanics well and shows his athleticism. Fastball to 91 mph, will cut fastball in the mid 80's with good effect, good late life on fastball. Very good curveball spin, good feel for change speeds and shape, can throw big breaker to LHH'ers and tighten it up to get under RHH'ers hands, potential plus pitch. Didn't see change up. Chance to really come on over the next year, doesn't have many innings under his belt. Two potential plus pitches. Excellent student.
