Matthew Hartman is a 2012 RHP/SS, 3B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from East Hartland, CT who attends Granby Memorial. Medium, athletic frame with room to fill out. Throws from 3/4 slot with clean arm action. Slow tempo delivery with solid arm action. Could use more extension on follow thru. Showed arm side run on his fastball. Showed three off-speed pitches. Curveball at 68 had 10/4 break, slider had sharper break and better feel than curveball at 69, and 72 mph changeup had sink down in the zone. Long arm action at shortstop. Short steps, feet are solid. At the plate, good approach to the opposite field, feels for ball. Good student.
