John McAllister is a 2014 RHP/3B with a 6-2 228 lb. frame from River Forest, IL who attends Oak Park HS. Thick broad shouldered build, strong lower half. Tall and fall delivery with some effort at release, opens front side early, multiple release points causes command issues. Shows raw arm strength, fastball to 82 mph, good sink when down in the zone. Slows arm on change up but has feel, creates sink and throws change for strikes, soft cast curveball with early rolling break. Must develop consistent delivery to take next step. Right handed hitter, gets to front side early, wants to get arms extended, mid to opposite field line drive contact. Good student.
