Richard Bautista is a 5'11" outfielder from Dallas, TX, with good overall body life and athleticism. He ran 7.03 in the 60 and was down to 4.31 from the right side to first base. Bautista has good arm strength from the outfield and sound throwing fundamentals, which results in accurate on line throws. He had the chance to make a lot of plays defensively during games and really shined with the glove. Bautista hits from a crouched stance with a rocking trigger and comes up through the ball onto his front foot on his swing. This may not be the most conventional approach, but Bautista has some good bat speed and made good contact in batting practice and in games. He's a very interesting player. Richard is an excellent student.

Good baseball athlete and only an "05". Runs close to MLB average. Throws pretty good too. He attacks at the plate, really turning the bat loose. Projects for potential power. A player to watch closely for the next couple years.
