Alvarez is a slender outfielder with MLB average speed in the 60 at 6.92. He showed the ability to make consistent contact in games and batting practice but lacks the present strength to do much more than swing down on the ball to hit ground balls. His arm strength is below MLB average. Ricardo is a good candidate to play JC ball and continue to develop and get stronger.
