C.J. Schildt is a 2012 LHP/1B with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Hauppauge, NY who attends Hauppauge. Lanky, projectable frame. Loose arm action from extended 3/4 slot. Throws easy with smooth mechanics. Stays online and gets extension out front. Commands two pitches very well. Fastball sat around 80, topping at 81 and showed arm side run. Curveball at 72 had 1/7 break and he showed good feel for it. Arm action would work for changeup as well. Left-handed bat with a slightly open stance at the plate. Good approach with quick hands. Stays inside ball with a short easy swing. Good to the pull side. Good potential. Good student.
