2005 World Showcase
Raul Cepeda is a 2005 middle infielder from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, with a 5'11", 160 lb. frame. Cepeda has good defensive actions with very quick transfers and some arm strength (79IF). He has great footwork with pro level range, and soft, smooth hands. He fielded a hard hit smash to 3B during a game and made it look easy. He uses a leg lift trigger at the plate, and is a line drive hitter. Cepeda has quiet hands with good bat speed. He has good quickness and moves much better than his 7.14-60 might suggest. Cepeda has great defensive tools that can easily play at the next level, and his bat will improve with added maturity and strength.
