Rance Leslie is a 2007 third baseman from Redlands East Valley HS in Redlands, CA, with a 5'9", 180 lb. frame. Leslie showed good speed running a 7.07 sixty on a very slow track. Defensively he has very good actions at third base with solid arm strength (74IF) and an accurate arm. Leslie shows good footwork with soft hands and good fielding techniques. He moves well laterally and shows a good backhand. Offensively he is a right handed hitter with a line drive swing path from a straight away stance. Leslie makes solid contact when he keeps his weight back and hits off a stiff front leg. Leslie is an advanced defensive third baseman with developing hitting skills. He is also an outstanding student.
