Preston Paramore- C- Allen HS, Allen, TX- 6'3"/210. Paramore is a switch hitting power hitter with good defensive actions behind the plate. That is a great combination. He has a better swing and looks more comfortable from the left side, but he shows extreme power from both sides. Leverage is what power hitters want in their swing, and he gets it. Paramore has a very quick bat, but will use the whole field. He popped a 1.88 from behind the plate with 80 mph velocity. Paramore has the tools to be an offensive threat at the plate, and is more than solid behind the plate. He has the potential to be drafted early on day one. If things don't work out well in the draft, Preston has signed with Arizona State.

Preston Paramore is a big strong 6'3/210 switch hitting catcher from Allen, TX. Paramore was one of the revelations of the National. He has serious upper deck type power from both sides of the plate and hit a game home run into the right field seats. Paramore is also a good defensive receiver with very good arm strength. There are a few technical issues with his catch and throw routine, but the natural ability, quickness and arm are all there. Understanding that Paramore has some rawness to him only makes him that much more attractive as a MLB prospect. He could be the #1 raw power guy in high school baseball. He's aggressive and creates plus bat speed. We had his older brother who was a big time great makeup kid and one of our all time favorites, but he did not possess the Big League type tools that Preston was blessed with. He will be followed by MLB front office scouts. Preston is an excellent student. He was selected to the AFLAC All American Team.
