Low 3/4 slot, creates good angle on pitches. Loose arm with very good arm speed. Comes out of hand well, fastball has life. Good mound presence and idea how to pitch. Throws to both sides and works up and down. Aggressive with fastball, solid break on curveball, Good feel for curve, Natural movement on pitches. Big potential. Long strong arm from outfield. Left handed hitter with long swing, line drive plane and power potential. Good student.

Matthew Crohan is a 2013 LHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Jamesport, NY who attends Riverhead HS. Young looking slope shouldered build, lots of room to fill out. Rock back delivery, full arm circle, extended 3/4's release, good angle to the plate, rushes to release at times. Consistent 82-84 mph fastball, very good arm side run at times, will also cut glove side. Nice change up, proper arm speed with late sink. Inconsistent slider release, flashes good tight spin occasionally, more often flat and loose. Throws nothing straight, needs to stay back better to improve command. Three pitch southpaw with projection, was 77 mph at this time last year, no doubt he will keep improving. Good student.
