Paul Patten is a 2005 middle infielder from Madison, Wisconsin, with a good projectable 6'2", 185 lb. frame. Patten showed solid arm strength (78 mph) in the workouts with soft hands and nice footwork. He hits from a closed stance with good bat speed and has a solid finish with good extension. Patten has good adjustability with his hands and could develop some raw power in the future. He hit many hard line drives in batting practice. Patten has good instincts on the bases and is quicker than his 7.37 sixty might suggest. He can play and his best years are yet to come.
