Nolan Murphy is a 2006 left handed pitcher from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, with a lean 5'9"/155 pound frame. On the mound, he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with long and loose arm action. Nolan has a high leg kick with an online delivery and upright finish. He keeps his fastball down in the zone at 78 mph. His fastball has arm side run and he moves it in and out well. Murphy can spot his fastball and gets ahead with it. His curveball is 69 mph with 1-7 break. He has a great attitude and good mound presence. Murphy is a good student.

Nolan Murphy is a slender 2006 southpaw from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, with a very good idea of how to pitch. He has a full delivery and arm circle, and will occasionally open up early and get out in front of his pitches. Murphy’s fastball topped out at 75 mph and he had big running action on the pitch when he kept it down. He also threw a 66-67 mph slider/slurve that had a short break that was occasionally late and fairly sharp. Murphy threw virtually no pitches during his showcase outing near the middle of the plate, working up and down and in and out with both his pitches with intent. Developing a change up, which he might have but choose not to use, would make him an even more difficult pitcher to hit. His knowledge of pitching makes him effective. He's a good college lefty and Nolan is a good student.
