Ricardo Jacquez is a 2011 RHP/SS with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Franklin HS. Smaller wiry build. Simple step back delivery, gets loaded and gathered, high 3/4's release point, extra fast and loose arm coming through. Velocity comes easy, warmed up at 93, touched 94 mph, fastball mostly straight. Power curveball up to 81 mph, good depth and hard spin, didn't see change up. Top level shortstop prospect also, easy athletic body control, quick hands in the field, obvious arm strength. Big leg raise trigger hitting, good balance at contact, aggressive swing, has good bat speed, lift in his swing, can drive the gaps. Top round pick both ways. Good student. Selected for the Aflac All-American team.
