Austin Fairchild is a 2012 LHP/ with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Deer Park, TX who attends St. Thomas HS. Medium build, loose actions, young look. Leg curl delivery, gets fully turned and uses his lower half, accelerates to the plate, some effort on release, extended 3/4's release point. Fast arm, fastball to 91 mph, good arm side running action at times. Good curveball spin, not consistent release/shape but flashed plus hard break at times. Around the plate with both pitches, works quickly and challenges hitters. Needs to develop his change up. Very projectable and should keep improving. Named to the Perfect Game All American Classic team.
