Nikolas Pascual is a 2006 right handed pitcher/second baseman from Miami, FL with a tall lean build at 6-1, 160 lbs. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with solid mechanics and he shows good balance throughout the delivery. Pascual has a whip like action to his delivery and his fastball shows good life at 85 mph. He has a decent curveball at 66 mph with a 10-4 break. His slider shows late bite at 71 mph. Nikolas also throws a developing splitter at 74 mph. He hits from a balanced stance with a contact style approach. Pascual comes from a good baseball family and he really knows how to pitch. He has a lean projectable body and he is a very interesting prospect to follow. Nikolas is a good student.

Pascual is a lean and slender junior right handed pitcher from Miami. He has a loose, quick, compact arm stroke that with his body makes him a very projectable young pitcher. Pascual has a bulldog demeanor on the mound that impressed us. He throws primarily 2-seam fastballs in the 79-81 mph range that get good running action into right hand hitters and isn't afraid to pitch in side. In fact, he likes to pitch inside. Pascual does a good job mixing up his fastball with a 68 mph curveball that has some tight biting action at times. Pascual is related to well known former players and accomplished Latin American scouts Carlos and Camilo Pascual and his polish and approach on the mound shows that he comes from a baseball background. Pascual is also a good student.
