Nicholas Wenderoth is a slender athletic 5'10/155 MIF from Marietta, GA. He runs well and plays even quicker. He has good instincts and a solid arm. He profiles best at 2B at the upper levels. He has good hands and true 2B actions. He's a very good defensive player who covers a lot of ground. He has a line drive contact swing that he is aggressive with. He even showed some good power. He's one of those guys that you end up liking more the more you see him. He can play 2B at a high level and he's going to get bigger and stronger. He's a real competitor and Nicholas is an excellent student.

Nick Wenderoth -- Wenderoth is a junior second baseman from Georgia that we’ve seen at many WWBA events over the last year. He’s a polished player with good skills and some MLB tools, too. Wenderoth hits from a very open stance that he doesn’t get all the way closed and starts with his hands high. Although he didn’t take a very good batting practice in Fort Myers, he returned to his normal form in games and lined a number of hits. Wenderoth is a high average line drive type of hitter who will use the whole field. He also has a quick first step and is an above average MLB runner underway and is a threat to steal bases once he gets on. He has excellent instincts. Defensively, Wenderoth definitely has the arm strength to play shortstop on a regular basis. He glides to the ball smoothly and makes all of the plays. Wenderoth is a very good student who is going to be a solid high level college player in the future with pro potential.

05 INF with very good hands and plenty of arm. Runs real well, should end up being a plus runner. Needs to get stronger, and he will, to handle the wood. He has some tools and lots of projection. Keep an eye on this 05.
