Ketchum is a 6-1, 180 lb left handed hitting outfielder from Florida. He showed nice speed in the 60 at 6.98 and threw 77 mph from the outfield. Ketchum hits from spread stance and a reverse toe tap trigger and does a good job of staying tall in his swing and keeping his hands above the ball. He has very quick and fluid hands in his swing and generates very good bat speed to the ball. Ketchum likes the ball on the inside half and can pull it hard and projects some power down the road as he gets stronger. He hit well in both batting practice and in games. Ketchum is a good young hitter with good athletic ability that needs to be followed closely.

Ketchum is a 6-1 left handed hitting junior outfielder from Florida. He showed good speed in the 60 at 7.14 and ran the bases well and aggressively. Ketchum has some hand and upper body strength and develops some bat speed from a balanced, no stride approach. Ketchum will hit around the ball occasionally but does a good job making solid contact and the ball jumps well off his bat. He was a very selective hitter during games and would have drawn many walks. Defensively, Ketchum’s speed is a bonus in the outfield but his arm didn’t look completely healthy and we didn’t perhaps see him at his best. Ketchum is an excellent student who should get the attention of top academic schools
