Ralph Garza is a 2012 SS/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from New Braunfels, TX who attends New Braunfels HS. Solid mature build, good present strength. Two-way prospect, graded out higher on the mound this event. Sound turn and throw delivery, uses lower half well, full easy arm circle, 3/4's release, arm works well out front. Mid 80's fastball, hit 87 mph frequently, good arm side run, stays low in zone, sharp bite on fastball, nice deep shape, has an idea how to pitch and throws strikes. 3B actions defensively, 7.25 runner, accurate arm with good arm strength. Strong right handed swing, high hands, shows strength, tends to get long and rotational at time looking to lift, strength and raw bat speed to keep improving. Good student.
