John Bodenhamer is a 2012 OF/LHP with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Maple Valley, WA who attends Tahoma. Lean athletic build, strong lower half. Had an impressive showing with the bat, hitting a long Home Run to RF in game action. Hits from a narrow stance with a high hand set, toe tap trigger, hand hitch load. Gets extension, ok balance, very aggressive swing, can get caught out front at times, good bat speed, very good strength at contact, power oriented approach. Attacks the baseball defensively in OF, long arm actions, throwing motion is a little violent and efforty but fixable. Fastball up to 80 from 3/4 slot, slow smooth delivery with good command. Aggressive all around player with good physical strength.
