Jake Rogers is a 2011 OF/C with a 5-9 195 lb. frame from Massapequa, NY who attends Massapequa. He was a late add on and worked very hard during the event. His tools are a bit short compared to the top national level prospects at Tropicana Field, but his makeup is off the charts. Jake projects to play anywhere from DIII to small DI. His work ethic should help him keep improving. He shows hitting ability and some arm strength. He even runs fairly well for a catcher. His attitude along with his talent should lead to a good college career.

Open stance at the plate, has some pop, good batspeed, good extension through ball, patient at the plate in games, comfortable going to the opposite field. Solid transfer and release behind the plate, developing arm strength and foot speed, online throws. He is a very good student.
