Michael Pair is a JC C with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Carrollton, TX who attends McLennan CC. He has a strong catcher's build and is a switch hitter. His pop times are good now and still show room for improvement. He makes good contact from both sides of the plate and has decent bat speed. There is some strength in his swing and he gets good extension from the left side.

Michael Pair is a 2007 C/P with a 6'2'', 190 lb. frame from Carrollton, TX who attends Trinity Christian Academy. He is a primary catcher and also plays third base but was a better pitching prospect for us and from we understand for most of the scouts in Texas as well. Pair was up to 90 mph on the mound from a fast paced delivery. He threw two types of curveballs, one a 75-78 mph hammer that was a present plus pitch at times, hard and big and sharp. The other was a slow and rolling 62-66 curveball that needs to be dropped. There looks to be more velo in Pair's arm and his curveball is a big prospect type pitch. As a catcher/hitter, Pair has good strength and sound fundamentals but it's the arm that stands out the most.
