Michael Meaden is a 2005 outfielder/right handed pitcher from San Antonio, Texas, with a 6'1", 190 lb. frame. Meaden showed good bat speed during the showcase games and made solid contact. He hits from an upright stance with a high hand set. He has to drop his hands to get them in a good hitting position, but he showed he could do it during the games. Meaden showed the ability to make adjustments with his hands and used the entire field. He is quicker than his 60 time might suggest, and he showed very good range in the outfield during the games. Meaden has some arm strength (79 OF) from a high 3/4 release in the outfield as well. Meaden didn't pitch at she showcase. Michael is a good student.

Michael Meaden is a 6'1/180, 2005 right handed hitting outfielder from San Antonio, TX. He has a good balance of baseball tools and a strong, projectable body. He runs well and has a strong arm from the outfield. Meaden’s approach with the bat is more common for smaller players who lack Meaden’s physical strength, but it works well for him. Meaden’s a spin hitter with his upper body and has very little lower half involvement. He has busy, quick hands that pull through the ball well. He made consistent solid contact, and had three good hits against live pitching, but his power potential is probably limited by his approach. He's a good all around player. Michael is a very good student.
