Michael Rogers is a 6' 180 pound 2006 third baseman and shortstop from Portland, Oregon who attends Jesuit High School. He has an average frame and build with athletic proportions and room to add some weight. Michael ran a 7.06 in the 60 and threw 80 across the infield during the workout. He has a 3/4 arm slot with short arm action. He has very athletic actions in the infield allowing him to make hard plays look routine. At the plate, Rogers has a very good load and keeps his hands low. He starts with a wide base and keeps the bat erect while getting a good weight transfer. Michael has an easy loose swing that can drive the ball over the outfielders heads with no problem. He shows good timing and rhythm and is a college level hitter already. Rogers has very good grades as well getting a 3.5 gpa and an 1810 on his SAT.

Michael Rogers is a 2006 third baseman/shortstop from Jesuit HS in Portland, OR, with a 6'0", 180 lb. frame. Rogers has a lively and athletic body that shows some present strength as well as projection for more in the future. Defensively he has good balance and mobility to handle the middle infield positions and is confident with his hands and footwork to be aggressive on groundballs. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with a wide base. His body has a chance to make him an offensive middle infielder at the next level. Rogers has an advanced approach with a still bat and quiet hands, and relies on strength and bat speed to generate power. He likes to load early and keep it simple at the plate. With his strength and ability to use all fields he can handle the wood bat well. Rogers has the chance to be an offensive player at the next level, and how big he gets will determine what position he will play. He is also an outstanding student.
