Rodriguez is a long armed lefty with a loose, smooth, no effort delivery and a good ability to throw strikes. His best pitch is a big breaking 12 to 6 curveball that he’ll throw anywhere from 60 to 70 mph, although it’s more effective and harder to hit at the lower velocities. In cold weather conditions Rodriguez topped out at 82 mph with his fastball and generally pitched in the 76-80 mph range. He is very smooth and knows the game well. We think he will make an immediate impact at the College level.
