Aaron Chesson is a 2013 RHP/ with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Dunedin, FL who attends Dunedin. Chesson has a large frame with a thick strong build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action with some arm speed. Chesson stays tall over his backside and uses an inline delivery to pitch. He has a fairly upright finish to his delivery and can get more extension out front. Chesson throws a fairly straight fastball and also throws an 11/5 curveball. We have seen him up to 90 mph in the past. Chesson is also a switch hitter. From the left side he starts with a wide base and showed some pop to the pull side. Simple delivery mechanics, compact quick arm action, 3/4's release point. Fastball to 88 mph, mostly straight, cuts fastball at 83 mph with good sharpness, slider potential with experience. Drops side arm at 74 mph for flat slurve, occasional soft curveball from regular release point. Strong arm. Solid catching action, stays short and compact, strong arm, feet work well in blocking, 1.90 best pop time. Switch hitter, hitch load from both sides, generates bat speed, longer with some pull/lift from the left side, better hands and quick more compact swing right handed. Two-way potential.
