Shawon Dunston, Jr. is a 2011 OF with a 6-2 162 lb. frame from Fremont, CA who attends Valley Christian HS. Lean slender athletic build, very young look, projects. 6.58 runner, very aggressive to the ball in the outfield, good balance, very good footwork, loose arm with some carry. Left handed hitter, open stance, high hands, good quick swing, uses his hands well, ball comes off hard, not real strong yet, should really blossom with more strength. Son of longtime big league shortstop and former #1 overall pick Shawon Dunston. Good student. Selected to the Aflac All-American team.
