Matthew Gargano is a 2012 LHP/OF with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Morris Plains, NJ who attends Parsippany Hills. Lean frame with room to fill out. Throws from high 3/4 slot. Slow paced delivery with balanced mechanics. Long arm action, gets extension out front. Throws strikes to both sides of the plate. Fastball low 70s, topping at 75. Curveball has 2/8 break with big loop. Throws it for strikes, has very good feel for pitch. Flashed a changeup at 67 with good arm action. At the plate has a rotational, right-handed swing with lots of hands in his swing. Very good student.
