Taylor (TJ) Whidby is a 2011 RHP/2B, 3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Woodinville, WA who attends Redmond. Whidby has a strong physical build with present strength throughout and a broad chest and shoulders. Good pace and balance to mechanics, hands start low, medium leg kick, gets himself going to the plate well, good use of backside. Extended arm action from a 3/4 slot and has armspeed, arm comes through well. Slider shows good sweep and spin and changeup has potential. Also a good defender on the infield, proper defensive technique and has good hands and feet. Open stance, lets his hands fly, aggressive at the plate with batspeed. Strength and lift in his swing and looks to pull the ball on the inner half. Very good student.
