2004 Northeast Undergrad Showcase
Matt Kenney is a 2006 infielder/outfielder from Florham Park, New Jersey, with a 6'0", 165 pound frame. He hits with a big load at the beginning of his swing and a lot of movement in his stance. However, he has a controlled, aggressive left hand swing with good bat speed. Kenney has a slight uppercut, and displayed good gap to gap power with a deep triple to center field in one of the showcase games. In the field he threw 71 mph in the infield, and 77 mph from the outfield. Overall, he showed a good nose for the ball with outstanding baseball instincts. Matt is a good student.
