Ryan Patterson is a 2011 RHP/MIF with a 5-10 172 lb. frame from Camas, WA who attends Camas. Patterson has a compact athletic build with sloped shoulders. Throws from a high 3/4 release point on the mound. Works quickly, and mechanics match this pace, high leg kick and slight wrap. Reaches back with full arm circle and arm comes through very cleanly, showing good arm speed and extension. Good finish as well, balanced and online, good use of lower half and overall very sound mechanics. Moves well on infield, good lateral movement, accurate throws across the infield. Straight away stance at the plate, with a quiet and relaxed approach. Hits of front foot and uses a short stride, showed the ability to go the other way in game play. Good student.
