2003 Western Underclass Showcase
Garrett is a short right hander with good arm strength for his size and a solid idea of how to pitch. He was steady in the 81-83 mph range for three innings and did a nice job keeping the ball low in the strike zone. Garrett’s curveball was in the mid-60’s and showed good tilt to it on occasion. The change up is very good, probably his best pitch on this day. He has a chance to be a high quality pitcher at a very good program. Matt is a very good student.
