Ryan Day is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 6-0 163 lb. frame from Phelan, CA who attends Los Osos HS. Slender prototypical middle infielder's build, young look. Excellent defensive actions, very soft hands, excellent balance, plays easy and fast, arm strength solid and developing. Right handed hitter, exaggerated inside the ball swing, good hand quickness and some bat speed, high finish and early release, swings hard, will improve with more strength and a more balanced approach. Also pitched, simple calm delivery, compact arm action, steady mid 80's fastball, good run and jammed hitters, makings of a curveball and change up, quick inning. Very good student.

Ryan Day is a 2014 SS with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Phelan, CA who attends Los Osos HS. Nice athletic build, projects well physically. Very good runner, 6.79 in the 60, moves well in the middle infield, light on his feet, good hands, clean release, makes the routine play easily, can develop as a middle infielder, arm strength good for age. Right handed hitter, balanced stance, contact approach, spray hitter, reaches outside but short to the middle of the plate, needs strength to explode through the ball. Interesting athlete who has MIF tools. Excellent student.
