Larry Bolding is a 2006 middle infielder/right handed pitcher from Mesquite, TX with a lean build showing lower body strength at 5'8", 150 pounds. Defensively, he showed soft hands with an accurate throwing arm and a short quick release. He has a good glove and moves well in all directions. At the plate, he hits from a slightly open stance and has a no load, no stride approach. He makes consistant solid contact, and his swing follows a slight uppercut swing path that allows him to get lift on the ball. On the mound, his fastball topped at 78 mph with occasional armside life. His secondary pitches were both quality out pitches, with a curveball at 70 mph with sharpness, and a change at 71 mph with fade. Larry is a very good student.
