Head is an "04" Middle Infielder from Texas. Some may overlook him because of his small 5'6/125 pound frame. This would be a big mistake because this kid can really play. He runs around MLB average and he's got a strong accurate arm. He has very athletic actions and instincts. Probably profiles best at 2B at the highest levels, but if he goes small college he might play SS. We were shocked by Head's hitting ability. He is aggressive at the plate and shows surprising power. He went 4 for 5 in the games even though he faced 2 of the best and hardest throwing pitchers there. Hard telling what he is capable of doing with metal. He handled the wood like a 6'2/200 lb guy. Kyle is a good student.

Head is a small but aggressive middle infielder who attacks pitches at the plate. He showed a short and level swing in BP punching balls over the infield and when he gets stronger he will have better bat-speed and be a tough out. We liked the way he stayed on the ball and drove the pitch. He is also an athletic player running the 60 in 6.85 and using that speed with his short, quick strides well on the bases. He earned an inflied hit by taking the shortstop to his backhand and beating out the long throw. That is where his kind of speed will help win games. He played hard the entire time and contributed on both sides of the ball. He is a player that does not let his size interfere with helping a team win ! Good student.
