Justin Wells is a strong lean 5'11/175 SS/RHP from Alexander, AR. He's a very good defensive player with nice actions and a strong arm. At the pro level he will profile as 2B or 3B as he doesn't run well enough to profile at SS. He did make some very nice plays in Tropicana Field. He has soft hands and very good body control. At the plate he showed good hand strength with a bit long swing. He has a quick bat with a level path and hit the ball hard consistently in the games against top national level pitching. On the mound he threw 83 with a good hard CB and a nice changeup. The FB shows life and he has excellent command of his pitches. Justin can play and possibly pitch at the highest levels of college baseball. He is a very good student.
