Leonard is a lean 6-2/175 lb. right handed pitcher from Pennsylvania with wide shoulders, long arms and legs and a nice overall athletic build. He needs to gain a bit more arm strength, but as a 2005 HS graduate he has time to develop. He throws from a natural 3/4 arm slot with a quick and compact delivery. In his delivery Justin throws across his body slightly which creates nice deception. He throws a heavy 77-79mph fastball that we see getting better with some mechanical adjustments. He needs to stay behind the ball better and work on his alignment. His curve is average with a 11-5 rotation and loose spin but at a good 71-72mph. His plus pitch is his change up that he commands well. He throws it at 72-75 mph with nice arm-side action and locates it well on both sides of the plate. He will pitch at the next level. At this point he could be a good college pitcher, but he could get much better over the next year. Justin is a very good student.

Leonard is a lean 6-2/175 lb. "junior" right handed pitcher from Malvern, Pennsylvania with wide shoulders, long arms and legs and a nice overall athletic build. He needs to gain arm strength, but as a 2005 high school graduate he has time to develop. He throws from a natural 3/4 arm slot with a quick and compact delivery. Justin throws across his body slightly, which creates nice deception in his body actions. He throws a heavy 77-78mph fastball that we see getting better with some mechanical adjustments. He needs to stay behind the ball better and work on his alignment. He needs to work on his curve some, it has a 11-5 rotation and loose spin at a very good 72mph velocity. With added tightness to its spin it can become a big time pitch for him. His best pitch is his change up that he commands well. He throws it at 72mph with nice arm-side action and locates it very well. He will pitch at the next level somewhere depending on his overall strength gain and added velocity. With development and maturity we see him getting much better. He knows what he is doing on the mound. Justin is a good student.
