Leich is a very young 2006 pitcher with a good athletic frame and projectable athletic skills. He doesn’t throw very hard right now, 75-77 mph on his fastball, but he does a very good job of mixing up his fastball, 64 mph curveball and 68 mph change up and keeping hitters off balance. Leich’s delivery is well balanced and he does a good job of repeating his arm stroke and release point on all pitches, which gives him above average command potential. Hitters at this level didn’t get many good, aggressive swings off him. As Leich gets stronger, he should add velocity to his pitches. Justin at 6'1/165 is a very projectable lefty.
