Josh Brenn is a 6-1, 195 lb outfielder from Canada with plus present strength and good overall athletic ability. He is a good runner with 7.06 speed in the 60 and good quickness and above average aggressiveness on the bases. He'll take the extra base when it's there. Brenn showed solid arm strength from the outfield at 82 mph. He's played a lot of infield in the past and still plays some third base, so his routes in the outfield are still a bit raw. Offensively, Brenn has good bat speed and has pull power. He attacks the ball aggressively and has the ability to handle the bat head and make adjustments to different pitches, especially on the inside half. Brenn hits from a no load/no stride approach and uses his strength to get the bat going. He should continue to develop as a hitter, especially as he gets more rhythm and looseness into his swing. Brenn has a good overall set of tools for the next level.

Josh Brenn is a 6'2" junior from Canada who worked out all over the field for us at the showcase, but who we think projects best in the outfield. Brenn has a nice projectable body with some strength/growth potential. He ran a 7.07-60, which shows good speed and athleticism for his size and age. At the plate, Brenn flashed some raw tools. He has some hand strength and bat speed, and hit some balls hard in batting practice. Brenn also hits from a very open stance, he never closes up and has balance problems, especially during games. There’s plenty of potential there for him to get better in the future. Brenn also pitched two innings at the showcase, touching 75 mph with his fastball and 61 mph with his curve.
