Tony DiMartino is a 2012 1B/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Alamo, CA who attends Monte Vista HS. Medium frame, strong physical build. Showed off big power, crushed absolute no doubt home run to RF in game. Tends to swing and miss when he gets overaggressive as a result of power oriented approach, but showed ability to put a big charge into the ball when he squares it up. Strong pull approach, line drive single up the middle registered at 92 mph off the bat in game, good bat speed, will need to improve his approach to continue to be successful at the pro level but has a rare tool for a HS prospect: plus present power. Good lateral agility at 1B, smooth actions, handled bad hop well in game. Signed with Arizona State.

Patient hitter, well balanced stance, simple hitting approach, very short and quick to the ball, excellent hand strength, ball jumps hard on contact, line drive plane at present, can drive the ball to the gaps, very consistent hard game contact off velocity, lacks lift in his swing but can learn that over time, very good hitting tools and strength. Tony DiMartino is a 2012 1B/LHP with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Alamo, CA who attends Monte Vista HS. Strong well proportioned build. Left handed hitter, very good bat speed, aggressive swing with leg lift trigger, ball comes off the barrel hard, good extension out front, good rhythm to contact, squares up the ball well, pull approach, high level hitting tools. Smooth defensive actions at first base, good athletic balance, didn't run due to a quad muscle issue. Also pitched, full hands over head delivery, high 3/4's release, good downhill angle, upper 70's fastball, sharp slider, some feel for change up, threw strikes, effective secondary pitcher. Very interesting hitter to follow.
