Jose Perez is a 6'2"/220, RHP with a strong, Bartolo Colon style, build from Venezuela.. He is a free agent but like Parra it shouldn't be for long. At Tropicana Field he showed a fast loose power arm that threw 93 mph fast balls. He had command of a good CB that looked excellent at times. His changeup was yet another good pitch and it might be thrown as a split because it tumbled down pretty good at times. This is yet another Venezuelan kid that needs to be in professional baseball at this time.
