2003 Spring Showcase
Just a Freshman, Peterson is a good looking infielder with an athletic baseball body. He threw 71 mph across the infield and ran a 7.5 in the 60, both tools which project to improve as he gets stronger. His actions were good and his bat competed with the juniors and seniors at the Midwest showcse. His swing is still in its beginning stages but he stays on the ball well and showed some pitch recognition. He hit an 89 mph fastball up the middle and as he gets stronger we look for him to put the ball in the air and drive the gaps. He has a good start with what we saw and think there are good things ahead for this 2006 grad !
