John Totten is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Upland, California with a good pitchers build at 6'1", 185 pounds. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a full circle in back and a long arm action. He stays tall and gets good leverage. He has a nice and easy fluid delivery with an even tempo. He has very sound mechanics with good balance throughout the delivery. His fastball topped out at 80 mph with good run. His curveball had a sharp 11-5 bite at 64 mph with good depth. His change has some life at 68 mph. Totten hits his spots well and mixes speeds effectively. He has good poise and composure and could become a high level prospect for 2006. John is a good student.
