John Stefanski is a 2007 3B/INF from Francis Parker HS, residing in San Diego, CA, with a 6'0" 175 lb. frame. Stefanski was named to the top prospect team at the California Underclass Showcase. He has a strong, athletic build, capable of developing more strength. A right handed hitter, Stefanski hits from a square and wide stance. He has a quick bat and his bat path remains flat through the zone. Stefanski has a good trigger and can get to the ball easily when he is on time. He has good balance and showed nice extension through contact at times, while doing a nice job of hitting the ball back up the middle in game situations. He is a quality hitting prospect with some present day gap power, but more than that in the future. Stefanski showed 4.5 speed home to first and also showed some base stealing ability. His offensive game has a chance to be very well rounded. On defense Stefanski has a very good set-up to the ball and flashes good actions. He has an easy arm action and a strong arm. Overall his movements to the ball are smooth. As he gets more and more reps, both at the plate and in the field, his core skill set should develop quite nicely. Francis Parker is a top HS program. Stefanski is a quality D1 prospect and should be followed closely by most West Coast D1 programs.

John Stefanski is a 2007 infielder from Francis Parker HS in San Diego, CA, with a 6'0", 170 lb. frame, and was named to the Top Prospect Team. Stefanski showed good speed running a 7.21-sixty on a slow track, and showed good game quickness as well. Defensively he has good hands with solid arm strength with good accuracy. Stefanski has the ability to play any spot on the infield, but he looked very good at the corner spots. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with some present pop. He hits from an upright and slightly open stance with very good gat speed. Stefanski stays balanced through his swing and loads his hands well. He is a very disciplined hitter with a good sense of the strike zone, and tracks pitches well. Stefanski has the potential to hit for power and a high average at the next level.
