2004 Underclass National Showcase
John Marks -- Marks is a sophomore outfielder who looks like he’s done a good job of developing his strength at a young age. He has firm muscular shoulders and a solid lower half. He hits out of a wide, no stride type of stance and moves out onto his front foot quickly, which makes him a bit long to the ball. Marks has some natural loft to his swing and could develop good power with some adjustments to his approach. Marks ran much better in games, 4.5 down to first base a couple of times, than he did in the 60. He showed good arm strength from the outfield for a sophomore and should continue to improve in this area. Good follow.
