2003 Southeast Top Prospect Showcase
As befits a 5-5 athlete, Johnson is a speed player with a quick first step. He ran a 6.74 and was even better to first base from the right side, consistently getting down in the 4.2 range. Defensively, Johnson has nice hands at second base and moves very well to his left side especially. He can swing the bat and has hitting potential, even with the wood. He could work a little to try increasing his arm strength, but it plays from 2B and will get better naturally in time.
