Andrew Graf is a 6'4", 160 lb. right handed pitcher from Chesapeake, Virginia. Andrew has a projectable pitcher's body and could get very strong in the future. We have seen Andrew at several events and he continues to add velocity and get stronger each time out. He showed an 82 mph fastball, 66 mph curveball, and a 67 mph change up. His curveball is his out pitch with tight spin and 12/6 action. Graf throws from a close to the head, ear slot path with his arm. We feel there is much more velocity in his arm and maybe a arm slot change could help. Andrew worked out in the outfield and showed more of his true arm strength (85 mph) with a more natural arm stroke. He definitely has the chance to improve a lot in the future on the mound. Andrew is athletic and he's a very good student.

Andrew Graf is a 2005 right handed pitcher with long and lean 6'3", 160 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA, with little in the way of present strength but much in the way of projectability. He has a loose, tension free arm stroke and fairly sound mechanics, so it’s just a matter of getting stronger for now. Graf’s fastball during his three innings of work in Fort Myers was 75-80 mph and he threw most of his best fastballs during his third inning. His curveball was 62-64 mph and had a deep 11-5 break to it. This pitch could really improve it’s power and effectiveness as Graf gains strength. Graf also threw a 68-70 mph change up and dabbled in a knuckleball as well. He changes speeds and locations very well. Andrew is a good student.
